ABOUT ALVIN
I’ve been aviation blogging on The Alviator for 12 years, and have had the immense privilege of flying and reviewing 150+ different air travel products, mainly in business and premium economy class. I’ve also reviewed countless airline lounges and hotels. I’ve written over 1,000 posts on my site, and have written more than 1.3m+ words about this industry (and am looking for this to grow significantly!). I’ve also helped myself and my friends/family redeem millions of miles cumulatively.
I’m incredibly passionate about helping people make decisions that maximise their travel experiences. Mainly, I’d like to make travel easier and more exciting for the general public. There are so many airline options to take on every trip, especially if you’re flying longhaul, and I’d love you to make the most of these.

MY PRACTICAL TRAVEL TIPS
Many people find travel tiring, and want to get to their destination as quickly as possible, ending up paying more for the convenience of going direct. While that’s true, the longhaul flight is usually the most draining, especially when you know what to expect from the airports you’re navigating. That’s especially true if you’re flying economy.
My philosophy is generally to find the best value premium longhaul flight that you can find with your miles, points, or cash, and position over in economy. Of course, this won’t necessarily be my advice for you – we all are in different ages and stages. However, I’m hoping to bring premium air travel into more people’s routines, helping them see flying as a part of the experience that’s worth looking forward to.
